It's an accomplishment to win back-to-back Emmy Awards and even more impressive when they are won in different categories.
Last year, Robert Vargas, a Bullard High graduate and former member of the Good Company Players, won the Emmy for Outstanding Achievement in Main Title Design for the public television educational series "Word World." He picked up another Emmy this year for Outstanding Writing in Animation on that same series.Vargas is living in Paris these days. It was in one of the really competitive categories -- writing for animation -- so it felt reeeeeally good! Our show also won for 'Outstanding Preschool Series', besting a tough pack.
