The fall food festivals keep on coming. Here are a couple on this weekend's menu:
- The Oakhurst Chocolate and Wine Festival means an entire weekend of sweet and savory dishes.
Mission Bell Winery, Quady Winery and Chateau Lasgoity Winery of Madera, Idle Hour Winery of Oakhurst and Butterfly Creek Winery of Mariposa are among the featured companies.
Dishes come from Erna's Elderberry House and Sierra Sky Ranch Resort & Restaurant, in Oakhurst, The Ahwahnee in Yosemite National Park, Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp, The Pines Resort in Bass Lake and other restaurants.
Admission is $2, or free for children 12 and under. Food and drink samples are $1 each, and souvenir wine glasses are $7 each.
For a discount, two guests can buy a $30 package before the event. The package includes admission for two people, 20 samples of food and drink, and two souvenir wine glasses. (After the event starts, the package is $38.)
Festival hours are 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Oakhurst Community Park, 39074 Civic Center Circle, Oakhurst. For more information, call the Oakhurst Area Chamber of Commerce at (559) 683-7766 or Wild Wonderful Women & Friends at (559) 683-1993.
- Kingsburg's Taste of the Town, a fundraiser for the Kingsburg Rotary Club, is a quick way to sample dishes and drinks from about 20 businesses.
Among Kingsburg's featured restaurants are Diane's Village Bakery & Cafe, Los Pepe's Authentic Mexican Food, Corsaro's Family Pizza, Baby Cakes & Ice Cream, Chinese Pagoda Restaurant and Jonathan's.
Wineries include Ramos Torres in Kingsburg, Milla Vineyards in Fresno and Wildhurst Vineyards in Kelseyville.
Taste of the Town will take place 5:30-8 p.m. Sunday at Kingsburg's Historical Park, 2321 Sierra St., Kingsburg. Tickets are $25.
