Marty Berry joined The Bee in August 2001 as a features copy editor. From November 2003-November 2005, she covered fine arts for The Bee. Previously, she worked as a fill-in page designer/copy editor for the Philadelphia Inquirer, after spending a year helping edit an online magazine for a health website. Before that, she was a news and features copy editor, as well as a fill-in assistant features editor, and then arts and entertainment editor at The News Journal in Wilmington, Del. She also wrote music, book and theater reviews for The News Journal; worked for a technical writing firm in Delaware; was arts and entertainment editor at The Macon Telegraph in Georgia; and an arts reporter and news copy editor at The Greenville News in South Carolina. Marty is a graduate of Yale University and has a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University.
