A child was struck by a car and hurt Monday afternoon outside a Fresno school, police said.
The 12-year-old girl was crossing outside Hamilton School near Clinton and Thorne avenues about 2:40 p.m. when she was struck by an eastbound motorist, said Lt. Phil Cooley.
The girl, who is in the sixth grade, was conscious but complaining of pain when she was taken to the hospital, he said.
There was no indication that the 68-year-old driver who hit her was impaired and it's not clear if she will be cited, Cooley said.
