Todd Bodine will attempt the three-peat at Talladega this weekend, as hedefends his title in the Mountain Dew 250. Bodine, who has won this race thelast two years, has tasted Victory Lane at superspeedways -- Daytona andTalladega -- four straight times. Bodine's victories in Alabama, however, havenot been blowouts. Neither has been won by more than 0.07 seconds. He has wonby leading the most laps (46, 2007) and the fewest (10, 2008).The 2008 victory came at the expense of Ron Hornaday Jr, whom he defeated by0.074 seconds. Bodine passed Colin Braun on the final lap and held offHornaday for his 14th career Truck Series title. Pole sitter Erik Darnell leda race-high 48 laps, including the first 32, but finished 12th.Bodine was quite dominant in winning in 2007, as he beat Rick Crawford to thecheckered flag. Bodine, who started on the pole, led twice for 46 laps, as hecrossed the finish line 0.014 seconds ahead of Crawford. Jack Sprague ledfour times for 30 laps, but failed to finish due to an accident and placed27th.There are just four races remaining on the Camping World Truck Series docketin 2009. Martin, who led the first five laps, reclaimed the lead for thefourth time on lap 91 and held on for the victory.
