The Atlanta Falcons placed safety William Moore on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and signed free agent running back Aaron Stecker on Tuesday.
Moore, who was Atlanta's second-round pick in this year's draft, played in just two games for the Falcons this season. The Missouri product recorded two special teams tackles against the Bears in Week 6.
Stecker has spent time with Tampa Bay (2000-03) and New Orleans (2004-07) during his nine-year NFL career. He has recorded 1,511 yards and eight touchdowns on 381 carries in 120 career games. Stecker has also caught 161 balls for 1,141 yards and three TDs.
Stecker registered his beat season in 2007, when he had career highs in carries (115), yards (448) and touchdowns (five). He was the primary kickoff returner for the Bucs when they won the Super Bowl during the 2002 season.
Also on Tuesday, Atlanta placed cornerback Glenn Sharpe on practice squad/injured list and signed safety Eric Brock to the practice squad.
