Two struggling teams hit the hardwood in Oakland Monday when the Golden State Warriors play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Wolves dropped their sixth straight game on Sunday in Portland when Andre Miller scored 21 points to lead the Trail Blazers in a 116-93 rout of Minnesota at the Rose Garden.

The Blazers have now beaten the T'Wolves nine consecutive times and eight straight at home.

Nathan Jawai gave 16 points for the T'Wolves, who have dropped six in a row since a season-opening win over the Nets. Ryan Gomes added 15 points and Jonny Flynn 11 in defeat.

Al Jefferson and Corey Brewer had 12 points apiece, with Jefferson adding 10 boards.

"I just wanted to get the win and improve as a group and individually," said Jawai. "We just need to make each other better and keep trying...We're a team that doesn't give up."

The Warriors, meanwhile, fell to 1-4 on the season in Sacramento yesterday. Kings star rookie Tyreke Evans finished with 23 points and eight rebounds in that one to lead Sacramento to a 120-107 win over Golden State.

Stephen Jackson had 21 points to pace the Warriors. Corey Maggette shot 8- for-12 to end with 20 points off the bench, while Kelenna Azubuike contributed 13 points and seven rebounds in the setback.

"You always got to be positive," Jackson said. "You got to deal with reality, but you have to positive. We have a lot of work to do, a lot of work to do. We got beat by so many points tonight, I stopped looking, and we got beat by 30 by the Clippers. We got a lot of work to do."

These two teams split a four-game season series last season with each clubbing winning once on the other's home floor.
