The Fresno Unified board of trustees will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m. Monday to discuss a performance evaluation for Superintendent Michael Hanson. The discussion will occur during a closed session.

Trustees' last evaluation of Hanson was completed on Nov. 12, 2008, when they gave him a positive evaluation and voted to extend his contract to June 30, 2012.

Hanson, who earns $277,000 a year, said last year that he was forgoing a 3.5% pay increase and $30,000 bonus because of the school district's tight finances.

The meeting will be in the board room of the district's Education Center at 2309 Tulare St.
