The National Science Foundation has awarded a nearly $1.4 million grant to California State University, Fresno, to provide research opportunities for 24 undergraduates each year in the university's geoscience laboratories.
The grant will be used to create a mentoring and educational program for students of geology, environmental science, hydrology, air quality and atmospheric chemistry, meteorology and climatology.
