Seven Fresno County school districts meet

Seven Fresno County school districts will gather today for an annual area-wide staff development conference at Washington Union High School.

Keynote speakers include Willard R. Daggett, president of the International Center for Leadership in Education, and Chelonnda Seroyer, a high school English teacher in Madison, Ala., whose specialty is classroom management.

Larry Powell, superintendent of the Fresno County Office of Education, will provide opening remarks.

The participating districts are American Union, Orange Center, Pacific Union, Washington Colony, Washington Union, West Fresno and West Park. About 385 area employees are expected to attend.
