Grade: Senior

He’s qualified because: Captured a second-straight Central Section 400-meter title and placed sixth in the CIF State Championships. His 47.45-second time in the 400 ranks 11th all time in the section.

The word: “When he’s on, he can race with the best. If anyone’s near him, he’ll beat them because his finish is out of this world. He never ran age-group competition so, basically, he learned the ropes quickly in high school.” — Reedley coach Aggie Contreras
