Jumper/hurdler, Selma

Grade: Senior

He’s qualified because: Finished second in the pole vault and the 100 hurdles in the section finals. Headed to Fresno Pacific as a decathlete, his bests are 15-4 in the vault (11th all time in section), 14.90 in the hurdles and 21-41/2 in the long jump.

The word: “He’s one of the top three or four track athletes in the Valley. He’s a dedicated worker, very intelligent and works toward his goals. He’s going to do very well in track.” — Selma coach Haskell Henson
