Why do you write? Something has compelled me to write since I was in high school.

Education: Bachelor's and master's in psychology; Ed.D. in educational administration.

Family: Husband, Murray, of almost 55 years; daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters in Fresno; granddaughter in Oakland; two sons, both deceased; our beagle and six finches.

Political philosophy: As president of the League of Women Voters of Fresno, I'm not allowed to make public partisan statements. But privately I'm always willing to listen to all viewpoints and then I usually take a strong stand.
