Occupation: Certified public accountant. My previous job was teaching for four years at what was then Irwin Junior High.

Hobbies: Golf and travel (one trip was to Omaha to watch Fresno State win the 2008 College World Series).

Bee reader since: 1956.

How many letters: Five in 2009.

Favorite topics: Right-to-life issues, other important social and political issues and sports.

Why do you write? To let my feelings out.

Education: Graduate of Fresno State with majors in accounting and physical education and a minor in science.

Political philosophy: Strict adherence to the Constitution and to the Bill of Rights. I believe in free enterprise and the "free market system." Actions and votes on issues are more important than party affiliation. I Choose Life!
