Weekend shooting leaves father dead, son wounded

NORTH RICHMOND, Calif. -- Authorities are looking for suspects after an early morning shooting in North Richmond that left a 59-year-old man dead and his son wounded.

Contra Costa County Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee says Lathel Douglas was pronounced dead outside his home after being shot around 1:24 a.m. Saturday.

A man identified only as his 29-year-old son was wounded in the shooting. He was airlifted to a hospital. His condition has not been released.

No suspects have been identified, and investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
