ERIC PAUL ZAMORA / THE FRESNO BEE
Fresno State's Morgan Melloh can expect plenty of work in the next few days and, if successful, for a couple of weeks after that. The Bulldogs will lean on her to pitch the bulk, if not all, of the innings as they try to advance through the NCAA Tournament and into the College Softball World Series. Already, Melloh's 322.2 innings lead all Division I pitchers.
Bulldogs put fate in Melloh's hands
Melloh gladly shoulders the load for 'Dogs, who need her at her best vs. softball elite.
It's Morgan Melloh in the pitching circle or bust for Fresno State in the NCAA softball tournament.

But that has been a familiar refrain for the Bulldogs in the postseason the past several years.
