Love sinner, hate sin

11/09/09 07:12:04

This is in reference to the Nov. 4 letter by Helen Condit. She states that "clergy use hate words such as evil, deviant, abomination, sinful..." I do not know if or where she goes to church, but in my church, St. James Anglican Cathedral, our priests never preach hate.

We are always taught to love the sinner and hate the sin. This holds true to any sin mentioned in the word of God. Hate doesn't cross our lips. We love all, no matter what they do, or are or any other sin they commit. After all, we are all sinners; even our priests, pastors, rabbis.

I strongly urge everyone to read the holy word and not judge anyone, lest we be judged by God more harshly.
