Listener Driven Radio Launches New Software for Radio, Giving Listeners Control
The Radio revolution has begun, bringing “crowdsourcing to radio!” Listeners are taking back control of the radio. The principals of Listener Driven Radio, LLC (Broadcasters Lee Zapis, Daniel Anstandig, and Mike McVay) announced today the release of new Listener Driven Radio software, empowering broadcasters to become crowdcasters SM . The listeners become the Music Director with Listener Driven Radio.
Listener Driven Radio ( www.ListenerDrivenRadio.com ) is a new model for radio built on crowdsourcing, that allows listeners to go online, or to their iPhone, and offer their input into what plays next on the radio station. LDR is constantly absorbing listener input, song votes, and comments on music, and automatically adapting programming in real-time. The audience can control the station’s on-air product within parameters set by the Program Director. LDR also automatically feeds a radio station’s Twitter account, helping to increase listener tune-in.

How do you make an HD radio executive bang his head against the wall?
Ask him, "What's HD radio?"
The HD radio alliance has spent millions of dollars on promotion efforts. Yet even after four years of this, most people still don't have any idea what HD radio is.

'Favorite radio station'
It was dreadful news that KFPT, AM 790, has been sold and will no longer be a liberal talk radio show. That is my favorite radio station and I listen to it often throughout the day.
The talk show hosts accept calls with varying viewpoints and they are not afraid to air them, unlike the bombastic right-wing talk shows.
I hope there will be a similar radio station that will be broadcast in the Fresno area. I'm sure there are many Democrats and independents who enjoy listening to talk radio that is intelligent, informed and compassionate.
