I both agree with and take exception to Norma Henwood's letter on "Canned hunting" [Dec. 5]. She uses the terms "fair" and "sporting" as if they actually apply to usual hunting practices.
Fair? How often has anyone heard of the deer shooting the hunter? Or the duck hiding until its decoys bring the hunter into range?
After listening for years to these braggarts going on and on about their "sport" and how manly they feel after killing defenseless animals, I have a suggestion as to how to let them live up to their words. Let the hunters hunt each other! It's fair and would also remove from our population a number of psychological misfits.
