Fresno Veterans Hospital has been treating my brother for liver failure for approximately two years. He received tremendous care each time he had to be admitted.

Several times at local hospitals he almost died because the disease he had was not treated correctly. Each and every time he was sent to the Veterans Hospital in Fresno, where he received the correct treatment and he recovered. After a long, drawn-out process he passed away two weeks ago.

I would like to express to everyone at Fresno Veterans Hospital my family’s gratitude for the expert treatment my brother received and also the loving way his family was educated and treated as well. Every nurse and physician I came into contact with was encouraging, supportive and professional.

I am not a veteran, but I wish I had such great health care options available to me so close to home. These great caregivers do this day in and day out.

In this time of budget cutting, the patient still received any and all treatment required.

I give them all the recognition they deserve. They are great human beings.
