A Fresno treasure will be lost if action is not taken now. The Pop Laval photographic history for nearly 60 years of our community is in dire need of local funding to survive. Unless funding is soon forthcoming, the Fort Washington gallery will have to close.

As a community, we must not allow this to happen. I do not want to see this historic collection of early day history leave Fresno for a university acquisition to go elsewhere. With millions going to the Met, Granite Park and Chukchansi Park, it seems local funds could be generated for this real treasure of our community.

With all the wealth in our community, there must be at least 50 individuals who could donate $1,000 each to preserve this important photographic collection.
