I would caution letter writer T.C. Morgan [Oct. 31] that just because the name of the Nazi party was the National Socialist Party, there is not a straight line equivalency from that form of fascism to the many forms of socialism that are practiced in politics around the world.
And, I would add that to attempt to make a straight line comparison to the Democratic Party in the United States is not only wrong, it is childish and silly, especially with the provocative nonsense about the Democratic Socialist Workers Party. That is almost worthy of tin foil hat man, Glenn Beck.
In the same paper, Kaylie Nuefeld [letter Oct. 31] plays another word game, trying to tell us that there has been a claim that the health care proposal will provide health care insurance at no cost. No such claim has been made.
Premiums and co-pays will have to be paid, just as they are now. Nobody has claimed otherwise. People tend to hear what they want to hear.
