Cost to buy university

Dr. Henry Madden must have turned over in his grave with news of Starbucks’ intrusion into the Henry Madden Library at California State University, Fresno [story Nov. 1]. It brings up a question: Will Fresno State do anything for money?

I had the privilege to know Dr. Madden when he was dean of the library. He nurtured it so that it developed into the outstanding library that it is. This crass commercial entry by a coffee shop can only damage the sanctity of the library.
