The manner in which California dispenses medical marijuana does not make sense. My problem is all about how our state wants to dispense the marijuana. Why should it be allowed for individuals to grow their own marijuana plants to meet the medical need?

Why can people start a business and sell marijuana in a store? Can they sell only to those with a doctor’s prescription or can anybody walk in and buy marijuana?

Should we all be allowed to grow whatever drug plant we want to meet our medical needs? Let’s allow those needing opium for pain to grow their own plants and harvest it.

Of course, this is ridiculous. It is just as outrageous to allow ordinary people to grow their own marijuana for medicine. There are too many people that will try to take advantage of this for personal use.

Medical marijuana should be dispensed the same as any drug. A person goes to the doctor and a prescription is written to meet that need. If marijuana is the drug needed, the person takes the prescription to the pharmacy to pick up the drug just like any other. Consistency for all drugs should be the standard we live by.
