Since 2001, Fresno taxpayers have paid $993.4 million to maintain the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Why? For which war corporations and petroleum corporations who donated to which legislators’ re-election campaign chests?
During those eight years we could have had: 51,110 people with health care, or 2,185 public safety officers, or 2,974 affordable housing units, or 1,754 music and arts teachers, or 18,662 Fresno State scholarships every year. That is 83% of its student body.
