Jerry Dyer and his team are to be commended on their quick response to the serious incident that occurred on McKinley Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

If a known felon on parole had driven up on my lawn, continued to bash my car with his car after repeatedly being asked to stop and exit the car, I would hope the officer responding to the call would have the courage to act quickly without being influenced by the potential public backlash to his actions, since clearly this criminal was endangering the lives of everyone around him at the time, both the residents of the house, as well as other drivers he was passing as he drove down the wrong side of the street.

It seems what some people want is for crime to be solved, and no one hurt in the process.

The only word to express this vision is Utopia, where none of us lives.
