Regarding the Oct. 25 Nation and World section: “GOP says plan will up health costs.” The GOP and the Democrats continue fencing over health care, more of the same.
I did get a great laugh in the fourth paragraph though. “Their [Democrats’] plan would ultimately lower prices because it would rein in wasteful spending” Hilarious! Whomever delivered that line without breaking down in laughter has a career waiting as a straight man after their life in politics is over.
Irresponsible, wasteful spending has been the defining mark of our federal government for a couple of decades, regardless of which party holds the budgetary reins.
