As noted in Clovis Mayor Harry Armstrong’s recent commentary, solutions to our water supply and quality problems require collaboration and balanced solutions. To support the ever-increasing demands of our region, we must expand water storage capacity and implement a full suite of conservation, water-use efficiency, recycling and water reuse strategies.
We cannot afford to focus on one strategy over another. Success will come through a comprehensive package that provides benefits for environmental, agricultural and urban uses.
The Kings River Conservation District is working with local communities, water agencies and environmental interests to develop comprehensive solutions.
We recognize that collaboration will improve the probabilities of success for this region.
