Just because someone perceives something differently than it was intended doesn’t make it any less honorable. I feel sad for the artists who created the Tower District mural — for their time, effort, creativity and passion.
I feel sad that a few select residents of the “Tower” (who choose to live there for it’s diversity, quirkiness and uniqueness) had the power to make the church group decide to paint over the mural. I feel sad for the mentality of the person or persons who destroyed it.
I feel sad for Fresno because it seems like we never go anywhere except backward.
