Needs of vets ignored

Great news. The California Veterans Home is going to be built. Unfortunately, some veterans will die while being transported to hospitals several minutes away. This was avoidable, but local leaders insisted that the home be adjacent to a golf course that will likely never be built rather than immediately south of the VA Hospital on land that has been vacant for several years.

Too bad the needs of veterans were not foremost in their minds.
