The lack of active support for comprehensive health care reform from our religious leaders is appalling, and contrary to the very tenets of our faith communities.
We have a rare opportunity to save tens of thousands of lives, and improve the health and quality of life for many millions and we remain silent. We ignore our sacred writings and traditions that command us to be compassionate as if we are given a choice, but there is no choice.
There is not even accommodations for arguments about costs, or exclusion of those deemed unworthy. Do the right thing according to your faith, actively support comprehensive health care reform.
