Art for the mind, not just the eyes

I had to go see the new mural in the Tower District. I stood there for about 15 minutes trying to see anything offensive or anything out of the ordinary for this area. I could not. This mural is very much in sync with the many other murals that make you do a double take.

Some of the murals are mind-bending and allow you to speculate, but isn’t that what art is? Art is not just for the eyes, but for the mind as well.
