I would like to remind fellow drivers of a device in our car that has been there for years. There is a lever on the left side of our steering column that we can push up or down -- and it will let other drivers know of our intention to turn or change lanes. This lever is actually connected to lights on the front and back of our cars that will blink, signifying our plan to move our car to the left or the right.

It sure makes it easier for other drivers to anticipate our intentions. Let's all use our turning signals every time we turn, even if it is turning into our driveways.
