This notion that President Obama has restored America's standing in the world is pure fantasy, and plays into the liberal myth that President Bush diminished our status in the first place.

While our former president had his share of detractors throughout the world, they hardly represent the majority. During the Bush years, in elections across the globe, and in particular Western Europe and Canada, namby-pamby, Jacques Chirac-style leaders were tossed aside in favor of pro-American, pro-Bush, conservative leadership.

Leftist propaganda aside, this clearly reflects the true measure of admiration that we gained under Bush.
