I recently attended Buchanan’s High School’s homecoming game against San Joaquin Memorial at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. All the hype that leads to a homecoming game was present, even fireworks!

I have a child who has been in special education in the Clovis Unified School District, but I pulled her out due to lack of help by the district, among other negative issues, we encountered.

To attend this game and witness the spectacle of fireworks was frustrating and sad. Where are the district’s priorities? It is disappointing to know that my tax dollars, intended to help students, is actually going for fireworks for a football game. Shame on Clovis Unified.
