In the story Oct. 7 on Afghanistan, we read that Sen. John McCain is worried the President Obama may choose “half measures” in solving our problems in that war. Such talk reminds me of President Bush, talking to himself (or praying to himself?).
Is it possible to listen — not half-listen — to someone who is talking about more war, which always seems so surely the solution to war?
Perhaps in President Obama we are blessed with someone who never says, “Today, I think I’ll just half-listen.”
