There are racists

I know many, many conservatives who are in no way racist. But too many — not all — of those who condemn Barack and Michelle Obama are racist, sometimes viciously so.

A prominent Republican official in South Carolina suggested that Michelle Obama might be descended from gorillas. A waitress in Clovis told me she hated to hear anyone criticize America — “especially a Negro.” Some idiot posted on Facebook a “survey” that asked whether President Obama should be a assassinated.

The gorilla remark and “especially a Negro” are obviously racist.

The “survey” is, too. President Obama is a human being, not a gun range target. Racists love to treat the groups they hate as nonhuman.

Many racists just don’t know any better. But their hatred violates every standard of decency.

  7. Follow the law. Don't do anything or post anything considered illegal by city, county, state or federal regulations and laws.
