Which local nonprofit organization has served hundreds of other local nonprofit organizations since 1959, including Children's Hospital Central California, Discovery Center, Volunteer Bureau, Break the Barriers, Central California Blood Center, Ronald McDonald House and many more?

What is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers?

Which organization provides hands-on experiences to develop its volunteers through seminars, active community service, advocacy, leadership roles and mentoring in order to achieve its mission?

Whose volunteer members have contributed well over a million hours of service in our community?

Which organization has left a legacy of community leaders who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the many boards and commissions on which they serve?

Since 1959, which organization has raised more than $3 million toward community projects in the areas of children, health, social services, education, women's issues and cultural arts?

The answer to all these questions is the Junior League of Fresno, which will celebrate its first 50 years at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at Weber BMW, 7171 N. Palm Ave. Admission is $40, and everyone is welcomed. Call 221-2646 for more information.
