I have listened to politicians argue health care for years — dating back to Hillary Clinton. The federal government got involved with health care in the 1960s with Medicare. They created a massive bureaucracy, obviously without any oversight, that has paid out billions of dollars annually in fraudulent claims since its inception.

It is my opinion that if the government would rein in Medicare and run it fraud-free for five years, then, and only then, should they consider a national health care policy. Who knows, maybe by curing the fraud in Medicare they could enroll the uninsured in Medicare without creating yet another useless bureaucracy.
