The Tulare County Coroner's Office on Tuesday identified a pedestrian killed in an accident near Orosi on Friday night as Marcos De La Torre.

The Tulare County Fire Department said the 83-year-old Orosi man was walking across Highway 63 near Road 128 when he was struck by a pickup.

The driver told authorities he did not see the man until the last second, tried to swerve but couldn't avoid him.
