Avenal fatal shooting possibly gang related

Kings County sheriff's detectives believe the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old Avenal man Wednesday night was gang-related.

Ezaki Ramirez suffered a gunshot wound on the 300 block of West San Joaquin Street in Avenal about 9:10 p.m., the Sheriff's Office reported. Ramirez died about two hours later during surgery at Hanford Community Medical Center.

No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information is asked to call detective Robert Waggle at (559) 469-4508.
