AARP to celebrate

Lunch to aid scholarships

The Association of Mexican American Educators will host a scholarship luncheon noon Sunday at 4277 N. West Ave.

The annual scholarship is available to students attending schools in Fresno and Kings counties. Last year, the associa- tion awarded 20 $1,000 scholarships to graduating Hispanic seniors. Tickets cost $25.

The Big Fresno Fair Exhibits Handbook is now available for the 2008 Big Fresno Fair, Oct. 1-13. Handbooks can be picked up at the Exhibit Office, 1121 S. Chance Ave., or at any chamber of commerce within Fresno County. They also are available online at fresnofair.com or can be mailed to your home.
