Voter registration for June election enters final days

Monday is the deadline to register to vote in the June 3 primary election.

Voter registration cards are available at county election offices, libraries, post offices, city halls and Department of Motor Vehicle offices. Voters can register online at www.sos.ca.gov.

Election offices must receive requests for absentee ballots by May 27. Voters also can obtain absentee ballots in person through June 3 at their county elections offices.

County election office locations, hours, Web sites and phone numbers are:

Fresno County: The elections office at 2221 Kern St. is open for registration and voting on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the Saturdays before the election from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fresno County elections information is online at www.co.fresno.ca.us. Tulare County: The elections office at 5951 S. Mooney Blvd. in Visalia is open for registration and voting Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Kings County: The elections office at 1400 W. Lacey Blvd. in Hanford is open for registration and ballot drop-off weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Madera County: The elections office at 200 W. Fourth St. in Madera is open for voting and registration weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
