PolicePregnant woman killedA pregnant 18-year-old Fresno woman was killed in an accident early Saturday on Interstate 5 south of State Route 140 west of Gustine.
The California Highway Patrol said the woman, whose name was not made public, was a passenger in a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Corey Justin Ceja, 18, of Modesto.
Ceja was driving north on I-5 when his car drifted onto the right shoulder and overturned.
As the car rolled, it was hit by a semi-truck. The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected and died at the scene.
Ceja and two other passengers suffered major injuries and were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
Motorcyclist injuredA North Fork man suffered major injuries when he was thrown off his motorcycle Saturday afternoon on Road 200 in Madera County.
The California Highway Patrol said that Ronnie Lucas, 58, was riding east on Road 200 near Cougar Springs Trail when his motorcycle ran off the south side of the road on a curve.
Lucas was taken to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Man, woman held in robbery at bus stopA man and a woman accused of robbing a man at a bus stop Saturday have been arrested, Fresno police reported.
Robert Miller, 45, and Tracy Elizabeth Blackman, 39, a wanted parolee, were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
The two allegedly threatened a man with a knife at a bus stop on the 200 block of Olive Avenue, took valuables off the man and then ran south on Palm Avenue. The suspects were found a few blocks away and were identified by the victim, police said.
