A feud between outlaw biker gangs may have resulted in the stabbing death of a man Friday night at a Gustine bar, the Merced County Sheriff's Department reported.
Sheriff Mark Pazin said the death appears to have stemmed from a conflict between members of rival biker gangs at a bar, although details remain sketchy. Pazin identified the victim as Bill James Jr., 33, of Gustine. No suspects are in custody.
Gustine police responded to the scene on the 400 block of Fifth Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday, Pazin said. The victim was found in the roadway nearby the business.
The death is the second homicide reported this year in Gustine and the 18th reported in Merced County.
