People lined up in Firebaugh and Mendota to get swine-flu shots Monday.
The Fresno County Department of Public Health gave the H1N1 influenza vaccine to about 300 people in Firebaugh and about 200 in Mendota.
Turnout at the rural clinics was about what health officials expected.
The busiest clinic this week should be at Manchester Mall in Fresno from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.
"We think thousands will be there, based on the phone calls we're getting," said David Luchini, manager of the department's division of communicable diseases.
The health department has adequate H1N1 vaccine for clinics scheduled this week.
However, it is running out of seasonal flu shots and will not have seasonal flu vaccine at the Manchester clinic or Thursday from 2-4 p.m. at the Fresno Retired Teachers Education Center on East Saginaw Way.
Both seasonal and H1N1 vaccinations will be starting again next week.
For dates and times of flu-shot clinics, go the county's Web site at www.fcdph.org/flu or call the information line at (888) 993-3003.
