The Yosemite Fund donated $5.8 million to Yosemite National Park to repair trails, preserve wildlife habitat and improve visitor services, said park spokeswoman Kari Cobb.

A check was presented to Dave Uberuaga, acting park superintendent, at the fund's annual Donors Day event Saturday in the Wawona area of the park.

The nonprofit Yosemite Fund paid for 56 projects in the park this year, including an $800,000 repair of the Half Dome overlook.
