A fire in the storeroom of Hog Heaven in Easton temporarily closed the walk-up restaurant Monday.

A nearby business reported smoke coming from the Elm Avenue restaurant about 9:30 a.m., said Chris Christopherson, a Fresno County Fire Protection District spokesman. Three engines, a ladder truck and 20 firefighters contained the fire by 9:45 a.m.

Hog Heaven was not open when the fire started.

Damage was estimated between $10,000 and $20,000, Christopherson said. The cause is under investigation.
