Fresno State's Hannah Sodersten was eliminated from the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links Championships on Wednesday, losing her round-of-64 match against Rancho Cucamonga's Gabriella Then 3 and 2.

Sodersten, a former Clovis East High standout, took a 1 up lead through four holes at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash., but Then tied it on the fifth and opened a three-hole lead after winning Nos. 6-8.

Then's lead grew to 4 up on No. 11 before Sodersten cut it back to three after winning No. 13. But Sodersten would get no closer and the match ended after they each made par on No. 16.
