Porterville man arrested in arson at Tule River reservation

A Porterville man is under arrest on suspicion of arson for financial gain at the Tule River Indian Reservation.

Zachary Janoko, 27, was arrested Tuesday after a two-week investigation by the Tulare County Sheriff's Department, the Tule River Fire Department and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

He worked for the reservation's Nature Resource Department and has battled fires for the fire department, the sheriff's department said.

The fire occurred in the 600 block of South Reservation Road.
